Yes it is. They had the paronormal investigation tv people come and did a showing and they have a few spirits. They have a special every now and again where you pay a certain price and your dinner and drinks are include with the tour and they show you readings and some surprising stuff and you get to participate. Read the story behind this great establishment.I felt a sensation of someone touching or tickling on my leg. Very sudden and then nothing.
It's an old house that was converted. However, it has a very interesting history. Waxahachie is a very old place. It's atmosphere is charming and the food is great with a bit of "creepy" thrown in. Prices are fair as well.
Nope, just walk on in. The lady at the front desk is nice. It might be a little wait, but worth every second. Just kick back and enjoy..

$9 - $15. Excellent catfish, hush puppies and sides
They were answering the phone when i was there. It was ringing off the hook.
So freaking good. I recommend the Cajun seasoned catfish. The other isn’t bad, it’s just super bland compared to the aforementioned.
Food was better than I remember. Staff was nice.
The food was great, the service was great, plus we like places that have a history of being haunted!! Definenatly, a do over!!
The people were friendly, the food was marvelous.
BEYOND me and my boyfriends favorite place to eat. The environment, staff and decor is everything we adore!! I cannot say good enough things about this place, the food is amazing as well. Love love love Catfish Plantation!
Be aware that a mask is required to walk through the restaurant. We tried both of the meat pie appetizer options and the crawfish one was our favorite. Our server wasn't familiar with the wine selections. Everyone enjoyed the catfish.
Great ambiance. Great food. The fried catfish was wonderful with a great southern target sauce. Fried okra & blackeyed peas were yummy. 😋 Great customer service.
Really good food! Quiet little place. No ghosts the Sunday we were there, probably at the little Baptist church next door. Service was great, menu plenty large, great beverages.
This was our second time here and after reading reviews we were kinda worked the quality had gone downhill. I definitely has not, the staff was great and very attentive to our larger party. We arrived right when they opened. We started with fried pickles and fried jalapenos. They were fried perfectly and not overly greasy.I ordered the ribeye it was cooked pretty close to what I asked, med rare, and came out hot. The coleslaw was really tasty and freshly made.I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and found the portions a perfect size. If you are in the area I definitely recommend you stop in, we drove an hour to get here and feel it was worth it.
This place had the BEST catfish! I love the cajun flavored. The red beans and rice are wonderful! The atmosphere can be fun with the spirits stopping by to say "hi". It has happened once to me!! Service is excellent. Be sure to stop in if you are in the area!
Awesome hometown experience! Wanna get to know the real Hatchie, come here!
Thank you Amelia for your awesome service. The food is really good. Throughly enjoyed the green fried tomatoes and the catfish is hot and fresh. Healthy portions. There is a bit of a wait because they are so busy. It's worth the wait.
So, so good. Possibly the best seafood, service, and portions around. Definitely a little gem that deserves a visit. The blackberry lemonade was delicious, and I'm typically not even a big fan of lemonade. The fish and chips are amazing.
My goodness! From start to finish the meal, atmosphere the service. Simply fantastic.
Best Father's Day lunch ever! In this crazy time the staff went the extra mile to make it special
I really, really wanted to love this place. I went on Halloween. The service was very slow. She wasn't at all empathetic when I got sick from the food. The appetizers I got made me so sick I couldn't touch my entree, and I didn't take any of it to go I felt so awful. She just gave us the bill and hurried us out. Maybe I had an unusual experience, but I will not be going back. The appetizers below are the fried pickles with spicy cajun dip and fried green tomatoes with buffalo ranch dip.
This place is awesome! The waitress was so helpful. They are beyond sweet and kind, they really help you out with the menu. Just can't say enough good things about this place.
Was not able to visit because we arrived between lunch and dinner and could not stay. Will definitely go back to visit however.
The food is great and the service is amazing! Sylvia was our waitress and she was the best! Made spot on recommendations and saved my mom's phone from a water mishap. Thanks again Sylvia!
